- dressed to the nines! JUST SO MANY NINE/NEIN THINGS
- jester so busy with all the essek stuff she forgot to help out her mom (who is painfully agoraphobic! and is performing at a huge event! with lots of people! for the first time in years probably! and needs a little emotional support!) and jester just dashing off and fjord chasing after her ;o;
- essek: 'it's best that no one says anything at all and we keep all of this private.'
veth: 'if there's one thing we're good at it's keeping information close to the vest.'
caduceus: *chuckles* stops and thinks for a second 'oh'
essek: 'we are in so much trouble,'
- aw essek feeling like SHIT (rightly so lmao) but telling them they all look really polished and nice and shouldn't waste the evening on him and should return to the party ;__;
- also caduceus instantly forgiving essek and beau speaking up like 'he doesn't speak for all of us.' and her and caleb exchanging glances ;____; and caduceus acknowledging that like 'of course not all of us.' and caleb is just SO upset. wugh. :(( (wrote plenty about my feels re. shadowgast's development through this in the last reax post lol! but just. caleb feeling like his trust was betrayed (it was!) and wanting to see better from essek. who does do better!! and works hard at earing that trust back! and that impresses caleb so much that he falls for him all over again even more. ;___;
- and essek knowing a LOT more about the behind-the-scenes cold war/shadow war with the cobalt soul (independent international spy/intelligence network under the goddes ioun), the augen trust (the empire's spy network) and the lens (the dynasty's spy network) - which he likely worked with to some extent. (which makes him later working with the cobalt soul all the more satisfying as well. it'd be nice to see a little bit more about this but. lol who knows. i also think he's only under the guise of seth domade to the lower levels of the cobalt soul but some of the upper echelon know who he is. (though maybe not the full extent of his crimes.) (MAYBE...) and i think he's able to access the cobalt soul as himself on some other continents but maybe not in most of wildemount aside from the menagerie coast or uthodurn maybe...
- heee jester and fjord panicking about marion and jester admitting fjord's hat was a joke on her part, but if he likes it he can still wear it, and fjord just flinging the hat away 'fuck this hat!'
- also fjord and jester just being cute, marion claiming she'll get fjord another hat and jester like 'oh you'll HAVE to wear it fjord, since it's from her,' and the two of them dropping off marion at the chateau and slowly walking back to the M9
- LOL sam's flask this time is a pic of veth dressed up as a leprechaun (since he did that for the live show) how did i not see that one it's cute and silly
