- ah yes, the halloween episode where liam cosplayed as gaara (which is delightful,)
- sam complaining about his phoenix wright costume not measuring up to everyone else's lmaooo poor guy
- all of the groundwork for the transmogrification spell :')
- lmfkmglk one of my favorite beau lines: 'so from sneaking and reading your spellbooks while you were asleep because i was bored,' caleb (quietly and mildly affronted): 'excuse me?' beau: 'these runes kinda look like the ones in your own spell book and,'
- nott: 'and i give caleb spider climb' caleb: *starts climbing* matt: 'so, like a hobo spider-man,' liam: 'what? i've got fancy purple robes now!' matt: 'like a well-dressed hobo spider-man,'
- finally getting to the prison of soot (which is deeply stressful in its own right, with nott questioning halas for any transmogrification info and then promptly dying when opening a trapped chest in the prison.) (she's fine!!! THANKFULLY, BUT GOD. it was terrible! and caleb was a wreck about it.)
- sometimes i'm delighted that critical role caters to such a specific part of my brain that craves exploring personal interactions between characters to intense degrees + contains actually worthwhile worldbuilding and usage of interesting tropes, and has some genuinely decent people involved in the cast. also that it deters hmmm.. more jerks and less intellectual people from getting interested because it's just something their attention spans cannot handle and is so utterly beyond what they're capable of comprehending sometimes lmao. (which is a little ironic considering all the crude humor critical role has.) but also it does sometimes feel painfully lonely not having any interested friends (whom i kind of... seem to be moving on from anyway for many reasons) and i wish i could make more friends in the fandom.
(but hey, i'm used to being disappointed at friends getting into things their other friends have recommended but never anything i recommend.) (i guess i'm just not convincing enough. in spite of drawing fan art for stuff for years. lmao.) (still nursing a bit of a bruise over reccing a manga to a friend WHO ASKED FOR RECS and her not listening to me and then her getting into it after a different friend recced it to her.) (this has happened a few times.) (lmao last time i called her out on it and she was just like 'oh haha, did you???????? i don't remember that!')
(also i do have Fears that if anyone i know gets into it, they'll just kinda have piss-poor comprehension of it, pre-judge the wrong things and get annoyed at minor odd things that don't warrant it, and also like characters and ships i have zero interest in. so... there's that, too.) (which obvs isn't always a bad thing!! but... in this case it's Not Great. due to the circle generally following the status quo of whoever talks about a ship most and the funniest + automatically hating on most m/m ships as a knee-jerk reaction to shitty fandom behavior toward female characters. which like. fair! but stop!!!!!!!!!!) (it's exhausting.) (and i think i am finally starting to get... fed up.) (i am so done.)
