- FASCINATING on a third watch of this re. fjord losing his powers (briefly) due to ukotoa punishing him and him waking up and freaking out after discovering this and sweating bullets and about to have a panic attack and going outside. and sam just whispering 'like an addict' at some point during this and it's SO DAMN SIMILAR to laudna's experiences with delilah and that being compared to addiction as well - though with much more emphasis. also just warlocks in general having stories that align uniquely with addiction.

- still can't get through any marble tomes scene lol ughh. it all just makes me cringe!!

- i just love that yasha really can't lie and absolutely sucks at it, as much as she might try. (after a while she just gives up and tells the truth upfront lmaooo.)

- ugh everything about rosohna is still just. Too Relatable.

- hghhghhhhh i just just. love shadowgast. ;__; essek honeypotting caleb, caleb doing the same, hubristic wizard feels, THE BLATANT FLIRTING, caleb getting those spells from essek with just a 12 roll. IT'S SO MUCH.

- fjsghhhgg i just love how much of an asshole essek is starting out. caleb inviting him in and beau like ??????????? 'i asked you like twice earlier??' and essek like 'i didn't ask you'.

- caleb ABSOLUTELY knowing essek's got something up his sleeve but not caring because at the moment he's delighted to be LEARNING more about dunamantic magic,

- loool laura watching the whole shadowgast exchange and taking a sip of her drink and wiping her mouth exaggeratedly in rapt attention,

- caleb just has so many good discussions with fjord ;________; (and everyone else, but i just.. enjoy!! that he becomes a good example and a... paragon? for hope and change to fjord.) and caleb worrying he comes off as a bit crazy but fjord telling him that he's one of the most put-together people he knows and that he admires caleb for being able to openly express things and work toward bettering himself. ;____;

- lol the first time the M9 suggest asking essek to teleport them around and it's caleb <3

- lol even caduceus (ace as fuck) recognizing that the shopkeeper really liked fjord (normally he's a bit more oblivious to this in canon lol)

- (also lol @ fjord attempting to seduce her as a distraction.)

- essek telling the bright queen he trusts the M9 AUGH. HAVING to say this, knowing that they're correct, 

- and essek just. hearing that caleb was training to be a volstrucker in his youth. I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT ESSEK WAS THINKING IN THIS MOMENT. JUST. THE 'OH SHIT' OF IT ALL. THE 'DID THE CERBERUS ASSEMBLY SEND A VOLSTRUCKER AFTER ME TO INGRATIATE ME FOR REASONS??' 

- beau's just. absolutely terrible barrel metaphor re. politics and having a foot on either side. and jester interrupting like 'we should just make our own country' and nott listening to beau and telling jester to 'hang on' so they can still politely hear out beau's terrible spiel lol

- moth!jester eating curtains is still such a Moment

- cryyyyy the first time caleb cast fortune's favor. (on jester!) and how this becomes his big LVL 20 cantrip - the first spell essek ever gave him. ;____________;

- rat stats (ratus status)

-  although the eventual (temporary) loss of yasha in bazzoxan is terrible, their journey across the barbed fields to get there is still so damn good,

- lol i know people give bells hells a bit of flak about carrying around an extradimensional hole that they kill people in + keep the dead bodies in (and forget about), and claim the other parties weren't that extreme... but it's very obvious they've forgotten the M9 killing some people in some fights and carrying around their purposely-severed heads (presumably in their bags of holding) to talk to and get information from lmao...

- just thinking about the moorbounders munching on some of their victims in the anime lmaooo. and jannik eating the dead horse and then licking caleb and he's just like 'aww catte i can't stay mad at you 8)'

- (also do love when the moorbounders eat some potential bandits in the barbed fields and end up protecting the M9)

- lol beau flirting with yasha during battle after killing one of those creepy wailing monsters

- fjord thanking jester for saving his life and giving her a little kiss on the cheek and saying 'thanks jessie' IT'S JUST VERY CUTE

-fjord eventually following the wildmother just feels a bit too ridiculously right for a sailor. just very in the sense of like. 'the sea is my mistress, she is cruel and kind etc. etc.'

JUST CUTE.

- ugh lost some reax but i think it was: caleb breaking his nose, the first hot boi nicknaming?

- also damn... caduceus: 'i don't think authority should be disavowed simply because it's authority.' meanwhile, ashton in C3 hating the gods simply because they're a higher authority lmaoooo... also i know ashton and caduceus didn't get much time to interact in C3, and i don't know that caduceus would be the right person to discuss it with ashton, but it would be interesting if they did have a conversation about that.

- caleb going out to search for essek in the city just kinda aimlessly lol <3

- lmao tal in the bg trying to read laura's notes and getting jumpscared by all her dick drawings and them just laughing about it

- caleb talking to essek about how he was in training to be a scourger/volstrucker in his youth and you JUST know essek is there sweating anxiously while saying 'interesting'. (while honestly caleb is just as nervous,)

- loool caleb stressing out about the day and adding a little whiskey to his tea and getting a little aggro with the rest of the group (but them fully understanding <3)

- lmaoooo them just singing SO on-tune 'dairon's back' to 'my boyfriend's back'

- sigh lol i just kinda hate the whole dairon and nott nonsense during this arc (wrt to nott treating darion like 'the help' and the sort of vague racism that comes along with that, which wasn't intentional, but it does come off that way imo to some extent and it's... hm. not great.) (i guess to expand on it more: the actors themselves being white and one not remembering that dairon is black and making jokes about dairon being the fake servant at the xhorhaus and treating them as 'lesser than'. it's SUPER awkward and cringy not great.) i really hope this doesn't make it into the anime... ugh. truly one of the things i dislike most about C2, actually. (which is rare! there's not a lot i dislike about C2, but this is a big one.)

- lol beau's relief at dairon and caleb getting along though <3

- YUSSA AGAIN HELLO (i do really wonder who is going to play yussa in the M9 animated series. i am just so curious!) (also it'd be amazing if some EXU folks got in on tlom9, too! some of them did show up in tlovm!) (omg what if robbie plays the gentleman???? I JUST NEED TO KNOW, who,) (also marion, and dairon, and yeza and luc, and bryce, and the bright queen, and vilya!!! and astrid and wulf, and ludinus!!! I JUST NEED TO KNOW.) (i'm 1000% sure matt will stick as orly, artagan, ukotoa and essek tho) WHAT IF AABRIA AS THE BRIGHT QUEEN????? PLEAS E, (she would be fucking amazing)

- i do think it's kinda fascinating that some news travels so fast due to sending spells. also!! with people beginning to use skyships more, you'd think that more mapping of less populous places/unpopulated places would occur more. (not at this time, but within the next 7 years up to C3.) (and i'm sure there were some great maps in the age of arcanum but landscapes def.. changed during that time + post-calamity.)

- jester and fjord realizing they'd been homesick for the ocean ;o;

- hee the brenattos not very sure about living long-term in nicodranas initially, but then it becomes their hometown ;o; <3333 THEY LOVE IT THERE

- yeza and veth reuniting with luc T_______________T

- i just love marion lavorre so much ;______; and i love her interactions with jester and the M9,

- the letter from calianna!! <3333 (but also augh the included gifts for molly and yasha) ;_;

- caleb sliding some of the flowers calianna sent behind nott's ear ;o;

- i just enjoy so much how soft and thoughtful caleb always is with luc and how much luc respects, and listens to, caleb later as he grows up

- also! many feels about nott's struggle with living two lives and the difficult choices she has to make!!

- chaos crew girls tossing some ball bearings to see if essek trips over them or glides over them is still such a funny moment

- (also lmao it will feel like a BETRAYAL if the animated series doesn't include the xhorhaus doorbell. it is so important ok,)
